Childhood Leukemia Foundation was founded to educate, empower and lift the spirits of children living with cancer. Our program services include Keeping Kids Connected iPad Program to allow hospitalized patients to remain connected to family, friends and their schoolwork during the most difficult time in their young lives. Our Hugs U Wear program provides human hair wigs to restore self-esteem after losing their own hair to chemotherapy. Our E-STEAM Wish Baskets offer an age appropriate distraction for the child during treatment and a means of bringing smiles to these brave children.
Why Donate Bitcoin to Childhood Leukemia Foundation?More than 29 years ago, one simple act of kindness would be the seed that would grow into Childhood Leukemia Foundation. It all began after learning of a five year old boy with leukemia, whose only wish was to have a Nintendo Gameboy. Barbara Haramis (Founder) realized she could bring him joy by purchasing the Gameboy. After this life-changing experience, Barbara realized she could help many more children with cancer. Since then, Childhood Leukemia Foundation has made a difference in the lives of more than 250,000 children and expanded into a hospital network of over 250 hospitals across the U.S.
Save on your Taxes by Donating CryptoWhy Donate Crypto Directly? Taxes!
There’s a reason high net worth individuals tend to donate property instead of cash. Donating cryptocurrency directly to a 501c3 nonprofit is more tax efficient and can save you money.
The IRS classifies cryptocurrency as property for tax purposes which means it is typically the most tax efficient way to support your favorite cause. When donating crypto, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the crypto, and you avoid the capital gains tax you would have incurred if you had sold the crypto and then made a donation. That means you’re able to donate more, as well as deduct more on your tax return. The difference? Sometimes more than 30%.
If you provide an email, you will automatically receive a tax receipt after donating.
